Rules
General Rules

• Respect - Please respect your staff members as well as other members. We only ask for you to do what you would like done unto you. Also, as for respect, don't go yelling at other members. Flaming is frowned upon, as it's rude. Fighting out of character is not tolerated.
  
  
• Stay Active - Joining a site and then leaving right away is very rude and annoying. If you join, please stay active, at least come on once or twice a week.
  
  
• Display Name - Your display name should be the name of your character. Yes, you may have something fancy, such as ♥ Hawk or ;; h a w k, but nothing too elaborate that we can't read.
  
  
• Advertising - Advertising is only allowed on the appropriate board. Linking to your site anywhere else is forbidden. Also, please follow the advertising rules found in the advertising board.
  
  
• Rating - Don't Cry Wolf is rated M for Mature. Suggestive topics may arise. It is advised that people under the age of 13 do not join. Please, if your topics are going to get mature, throw in a [M] or some sort of warning in your topic title to warn people who would rather not read that stuff.
  
  
• Language - Mild cursing is allowed, but I do not want to see that every other word coming out of your mouth is swear. Keep it to the minimum. As for role play language, keep it understandable, I don't want to have to look all over the internet for some role playing language dictionary to understand what you are saying. Also, nOnE oF tHiS or anything of the like, thanks.
  
  
• Characters - Only 1 character per account. You may have as many accounts as you can handle. But please, do not go overboard and create a multitude of characters and have them all go inactive.
  
  
• Images - Images in signatures may not exceed 500 px in width and 400 px in height. Avatars in the mini-profiles must be 100 x 100 pixels.
  
  
  Role playing Rules
  
• Posting Length - This role play is free for all. All level of role players are welcome here. There is not a specific word or paragraph count that you must meet. Just try your best and try to match your posting partner's abilities.
  
  
• God-modding and Power-playing - None of this. Ever. God-modding is when your character is invincible. Such as never taking a hit in a battle or never getting injured, this is a realistic role play. Power-playing is when you control the other person's character. We all know how easy it is to accidentally say "He lashed out with his paw, his claws digging into his opponents skin." But, that is wrong, what you should say is "He lashed out with his paw, aiming to strike his opponent in the face."
  
  
• Prospective - Please role play in third-person. A good example would be "He raised his head and sniffed the air, looking for his mate." A bad example would be "I raised my head and sniffed the air, looking for my mate."
  
  
• Liquid-Time - Your character may be in more than one thread at a time. Just don't have too many that you can't keep up with them all.
  
  
• Magic and Markings - Magic is not allowed at all. This is a realistic wolf role play, so wolves must be realistic colours, no reds or purples. Jewelry, clothing, and wings are also not allowed.
  
  
• Alphas - Alpha's will be on a first come first serve basis. Whoever claims being the alpha male/female of a pack first gets the position and then they may choose who they want to rule with them, whether it be their mate or not.
  
  Fighting Rules
  
• Fights may be over a territory, female, or whatever you wish.
  
  
• Fighting may be done in any land you wish, just make sure that if a fight should occur, you get a staff member and another member of your choice (please make sure both opponents agree on a member) to monitor your fight and eventully decide the winner.
  
  
• Fights will consist of 5 posts for each contestant. In those 5 posts you must get hit at least twice.
  
  
• Winner's of fights will be decided by quality of posts, whether or not you powerplayed or god-modded, and how realistic your posts are.
  
  Breeding and Birthing Rules
  
• Breeding and Birthing may be done in any land you wish.
  
  
• Please do not get too graphic. If it is going to get graphic, make sure you mark your thread accordingly (adding a [M] or something to your thread subject).
  
  
• Please inform a staff member if you have bred/birthed. We will decide if you become pregnant or not and the stats of your puppy(s).
